Gepps X Centre is a strategically located major bulky goods retailing destination Centre, strategically located on the Northern Growth Corridor, on the outskirts of Adelaide’s CBD. The site sits 9 kms north/northeast of the Adelaide CBD and the site was sourced by Axiom and purchased by the company (50%) and its joint venture partners Charter Hall (25%) and Harvey Norman (25%) in 2007. The development was managed, leased and delivered by Axiom and completed in June 2009. Axiom sold its half of one of the sites to family interests of Gerry Harvey in December 2010, and subsequently its remaining 50% interest in the Centre in 2012 to a local investor. When completed in 2009, the centre was the largest integrated bulky goods homemaker centre in the southern hemisphere comprising of 62,000sqm of retail space and 1700 car parks, incorporating Australia’s premier bulky goods retailers such as Harvey Norman, The Good Guys, Super Amart, JB Hi-Fi, Spotlight, Toys’r’Us, Rebel Sport, Mountain Design and many others.
